The more we draw nigh to 8th August the more Im losing confidence in IEBC. First of all Chebukatis body language is increasingly conveying confusion and not being in control of the situation at hand. Secondly, events such as ballot paper tender allocation sans public participation which is clearly stipulated in the constitution, makes you wonder whether these creme de la creme law experts had not read the constitution? The reaction of IEBC Chairman,of calling Presidential candidates for consultation of the ballot paper row which is essentially a conflict of interest since they’re interested parties and can therefore not advice IEBC how to handle the matter. The meeting lacked a clear agenda and IEBC Chair and Commissioners looked perplexed and even intimidated, further the IEBC is appealing the court’s decision, inspite of the fact that public participation is in the constitution and the fact that there’s a severe time crunch if elections are to be on time. The scope of the said public participation is also unclear however IEBC is going ahead with the public participation even though they’re appealing the High Court’s decision to cancel the tender allocation, isnt this counterintuitive? Now if this is how confused and overwhelmed the group is at this point, how will they inspire confidence when emotions are running high due to contested results,if they seem not to be in control of the process and so deep in the woods to a point of reaching out to presidential candidates for direction!
Muthamaki is ferking them from the inside
NASA is after creating a constitutional crisis, upto today, I haven’t understood why the courts stopped the printing of Presidential ballot boxes, and let the rest be printed.
What happens, if the Presidential election aren’t held on 08/08 ?
This was expected they have huge shoes to fill
With people working full time to look for loopholes to take to court,we may have no option but to postpone these elections. The voter register is another area that has enough holes to poke and take to court,we could be in court all year! Still I think there’s negligence on the part of IEBC not to have foreseen the risks and have mitigation measures in readiness. Even if its your first tenure in IEBC you can glean from the experience of your predecessors and lessons learnt from election challenges across the globe.
does it mean therefore; that for the other seats, there was public participation? even if public participation was not there, wasn’t it prudent that for the greater good for the country, should have been to throw out the prayers sought out by EKURU AUKOT?
isn’t it obvious that naswa is in bed with the judiciary with the sole purpose of creating a nusu mkate government with all these court cases?
*I voted NO in the referendum because I read the constitution, it’s full of shit and when Uhuruto take back the presidency on 8th August, the 1st order of business will be to discuss the conduct of the judiciary and the 2nd will be to trash that piece of shit we call the constitution and start all over again but this time without the ‘evil society’s’ involvement, those dogs can go drying.
The President has addressed The CJ, and told him under no uncertain terms, that the appeal by the IEBC should sail thru.
It’s about time he showed them who’s boss!
It would be great if he also showed whose boss when fighting corruption.
What if it doesn’t, what will he do?
yeah that too, but at this rate of shouting independence from every roof top, mbona eacc wasijisort pia? ooh I forgot, the judiciary is also fuckin their efforts dryfry.
Why are JaKuonists so desperate to create a “fighting” environment? The above is just an example of how sane arguments met with confrontational language and circular arguments. Even more inane is this surprise to learn that they are fooling no one.
If there is anybody who has an appropriate “relationship” with the IEBC, it is JaKuon.
I am trying to read between the lines coz naona kama hapa kuna ukora fulani. Jubilee wanaplay hawa wangwana wa NASA in their own game. I feel like this story of stopping the printing also got the NASA brigade by a surprise but kwa vile they have been drumming for that, they just had to celebrate. Let’s give it a week and everything will be out in the light!
Why is IEBC not publishing the voter register online? Why are they against publishing the names? They just want to publish polling centers and number of registrated voters per polling station? Dead Voters? Who even Fidel Odinga deceased 2015 is yet to expunged from the register.
What happens if the court rejects the complimentary option for results transmission? The case is in court!
Good luck to IEBC they have their work cut out for them.
The judiciary is independent. Uhuru is not the boss of them:-P
This is what his nightmares are made of, being a dictator who nobody listens to.
nime keti pareeee==========>>> unisafiche mecho, women and politics haiwesmake.
And why must IEBC use technology vendors? Can they be sure these vendors who we know to be very unscrupulous and unethical - stealing airtime and data bundles, will not be compromised? This is a real mayasma if I ever saw one I tell you. There’s loopholes everywhere!
This is the internet boss,I could be an alien or hermaphrodite for all you know!
Is it the same vendors who were given a multi billion security project by the government? You must be mistaken.
