The big toe is paining especially when I wear closed shoes. It seems like it has an infection that is eating it beneath the nail. I don’t want to loose my nail coz it might look like someone once infested by jiggers.
Dawa tafasari and I fear injection so none please.
Looks like paronychia (an infection of the skin that surrounds a toenail or fingernail. It maybe acute or chronic)
Acute paronychia — This usually appears as a sudden, very painful area of swelling, warmth and redness around a fingernail or toenail, usually after an injury to the area. — You can begin treating yourself by soaking the finger or toe in warm water. Do this for at least 15 minutes, two to four times a day. If your symptoms do not improve with this treatment, or if pus develops near the nail, call your doctor.
Chronic paronychia — This is an infection that usually develops slowly, causing gradual swelling, tenderness and redness of the skin around the nails. Since most cases of chronic paronychia are caused by fungi, your doctor will treat the infection with antifungal medication that is applied to the skin, such as clotrimazole ( Lotrimin, Mycelex ) or
ketoconazole (Nizoral ). Courtesy of Google.
Safe bet , just visit a doctor. Injections might not be included.
ti wana sweetheart! hata @Luther12 atakwambia the same thing, for him to make a full diagnosis, he needs to examine the whole foot. But for a start, please stay away from closed shoes and always dry your toes and in -between thoroughly.

Hence the recommendation for a professional to have a look at it. Otherwise we can quote drugs here all day na hatutakuwa tumemsaidia. It takes lots of patience and self motivation on the patient’s part to treat some skin & nail infections.
