from my point of view his greatest undoing is he never united all libya and made them beleive in his ideologies.
if he did it could have withstand external fracturing forces.

revolutionary and politician who governed
Libya as its primary leader from 1969 to
2011. Taking power in a coup d’etat, he
ruled as Revolutionary Chairman of the
Libyan Arab Republic from 1969 to 1977
and then as the "Brotherly Leader " of the
Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab
Jamahiriya from 1977 to 2011, when he was
ousted in the Libyan Civil War . Initially
developing his own variant of Arab
nationalism and Arab socialism known as
the Third International Theory , he later
embraced Pan-Africanism and served as
Chairperson of the African Union from
2009 to 2010.
The son of an impoverished Bedouin goat
herder, Gaddafi became involved in politics
while at school in Sabha, subsequently
enrolling in the Royal Military Academy,
Benghazi. Founding a revolutionary cell
within the military, in 1969 they seized
power from the absolute monarchy of King
Idris in a bloodless coup . Becoming
Chairman of the governing Revolutionary
Command Council (RCC), Gaddafi abolished
the monarchy and proclaimed the Republic.
Ruling by decree , he implemented measures
to remove what he viewed as foreign
imperialist influence from Libya, and
strengthened ties to Arab nationalist
governments. Intent on pushing Libya
towards " Islamic socialism ", he introduced
sharia as the basis for the legal system and
nationalized the oil industry, using the
increased revenues to bolster the military,
implement social programs and fund
revolutionary militants across the world. In
1973 he initiated a “Popular Revolution”
with the formation of General People’s
Committees (GPCs), purported to be a
system of direct democracy, but retained
personal control over major decisions. He
outlined his Third International Theory that

There has been lots of threads on the European immigrants/refugees crisis. Talkers have discussed at length the implications for Europe and the latest one was on Germany and Angela Merkel’s decision to allow them in.
Why didn’t nobody think to ask how all that has affected any of us?

You are so quick to blame Western conspiracy on everything, without addressing the root of all conflict in Libya, which is radical Islamic ideology. I saw Gaddaffi’s video as he was being executed, by none else than his own people! His own people killed him. The ones he gave free benefits that were unheard of anywhere else in the world. The state of Libya today is no big conspiracy by the West or the other favorite scapegoat, Israel. The ones who killed Gaddaffi wanted to live in an Islamic state, not a western democracy and that’s exactly what they got. Isis is the original, unadulterated Islam. Save the crocodile tears please!
Wapi huyu Rothschild a promote Keroro ya weekend.
the funny theing is that they also do.
i remember that day during paris attack my uncle @kabuda(who works in the states) was there next and behind the station delivering vegetables all the way from kibera stoke city.

Ngojea maswali za pervert cortedivoire.
Those definitely do affect you sex starved momo biatch.
hehehe…
we werent blaming the holy west.
we are trying to establish if their inteference in libya was justified for whatever reason?
closer home their taking sides during PEV was it the right thing to do?
in gaddaffi case couldnt they have just prevented him from funding terrorism instead of killing him?
do you support the idea of universal democracy based on the west’s ideology even if they make them fair(stop using double standards)
like @Mathaais said was morsi removal from power justified?
just next door in the middle east/gulf. do you think nato(west) forceful invasion justified?
have those invasions gotten any reaults that makes the world a better place to be?
before you moan gadafi, do research on how many times the French and the US saved him from rebels in his own backyard. You don’t sleep with the west then deny them later. And we should stop whining like gadafi is the only one who can lead. That’s why most of us only think their tribesmen are the only people who can lead them. The turmoil in lybia is just but for a moment. For China to be where it is, it had to undergo over ten bloody coups. Someone pick a book and read yawa!!! This is not the end of lybia.
Of course you are blaming the West and Western democracy. That picture of “Libya under Western democracy” should be replaced with “Libya under Islamic Sharia.” His people wanted to live under Islamic Law which Gaddaffi, himself a secular Muslim, knew would be detrimental to the health and vibrancy of Libya. The people who tried to form an uprising against him, now better known as ISIS, cried to the West for help like the big crybabies they are. Supposedly, Gaddaffi was using state machinery to kill them. In the process, the West ended up arming ISIS. It’s the people who cried and pleaded for an Islamic caliphate and that’s what they got! When the West intervenes, they’re the bad guys. When they don’t, they’re still the bad guys sitting back when people are being killed. What exactly do people want?!
Your comment clearly betrays your ignorance of things political… You’ve not read or heard about the Hillary Clinton emails on why Gaddafi had to go??
what is life when @Acoustic says anything which makes any sense?

first of all radical islam would not have flourished under gaddafi rule …just like it would not have flourished under saddam rule …i can tell you are a victim of western dystopian propaganda …the people who killed gaddafi (us backed radical islamist) were funded by the west in order to weaken gaddafi’s regime which is one of many instances the west has funded radical rebellion to weaken a a “dictatorship” regime where do you think isis gets all its money from why is israelis oil pipeline through is is untouched who buys isis oil NATO?
so your mighty west intervenes only as the last resort?
there are no vested interests?
they are basicaly a good big brother?
you are ignoring it didnt start in 2011 but 1972(that is a generation).
Libya under Gaddafi (1969-2011)
After Muammar Gaddafi’s 1969 coup, U.S.-
Libyan relations became increasingly
strained when Gaddafi nationalized the oil
industry. [5] In 1972, the United States
recalled its ambassador. Export controls on
military and civil aircraft were imposed
during the 1970s, and U.S. embassy staff
members were withdrawn from Tripoli after
a mob attacked and set fire to the embassy
in December 1979. The U.S. Government
designated Libya a " state sponsor of
terrorism " on December 29, 1979.
