Side 1: God stopped sending prophets
Some people believe God ended prophecy a long time ago. They say the main messages humans need were already given through earlier prophets like Moses, Jesus, or Muhammad. According to this view, God’s word is complete, and everything we need to live good and moral lives is already in the holy books. If new prophets kept appearing, their messages might cause confusion or disagreement. So, God’s silence isn’t a sign of absence—it means the mission is finished. Now it’s up to people to understand and follow what’s already been revealed.
Side 2: God didn’t stop sending prophets—people stopped noticing
Others believe that God still sends prophets, but humans no longer recognize them. The world today is full of noise—technology, doubt, and self-interest—which makes it hard to hear spiritual truth. Modern prophets might appear as brave leaders, artists, or thinkers who speak out against injustice. But instead of listening, people often mock or ignore them. From this point of view, God hasn’t gone quiet at all. It’s humanity that has lost the ability to pay attention. The question, then, isn’t whether God still speaks—but whether anyone is still listening.
