Once in a while, I visit UK media pages to catch up with what is going on the other side of the world. Today I read about bargain shoppers queuing from as early as midnight in order not to miss half-price sales in stores.
Though the media did not mention it, from the photos splashed on the media pages, it is obvious that all the people pushing and jostling for these discount sales have immigrant backgrounds. I wonder if they wait until the day discount or half-price sales are announced for them to buy clothes and other items.
Rarely do you see wenye-nchi jostling for these discount sales. Is it that people of immigrant backgrounds are misers or it is whites who dont want to stoop that low to compete for discount sales? The images alone paint a picture of sufferring masses(silently) or (greed).
may be my brain is a quarter. After all, people are dying in the high seas to get there. It is important to note that these could be third or second generation immigrants. Actually they are âcitizensâ.
I guess you can come to a certain conclusion from just looking at six pictures (the one with footlocker does not show any faces so it does not count). Do you have any pictures showing stores filled exclusively with âwenye-inchiâ on normal shopping days?
