He is to blame. His advertisement come out on a very personal level like he vouchs for the project.
Another problem with Kenyans apart from sheer greed is assumption and a don’t care attitude. You are a trained lawyer or accountant or engineer but in your mind you assume farming doesn’t require high level expertise and knowledge…

And the same goes with professionals who want to dabble in construction.
You are an accountant, an expert with numbers. You have borrowed millions from a bank to build an apartment block. Being a Kenyan as usual you do very very little research. I mean it’s just construction who cares. You won’t even listen to an architect wote unawaona ni wezi wakora.
And you actually take those millions of shillings and give them to a criminal contractor…
Ati you’re saving money. Ataongeza floor kadhaa. A trained accountant or lawyer doing that. Na unalia nyumba ikianguka. Or cracks appear all over the place.
The same with someone who will buy a Mercedes na anapeleka hio Mercedes kwa mechanic mwingine hapo mtaa anapiga engine na nyundo…
Or even your own body. You know you’re really sick na uko na pesa but afadhali utolewe appendix hospital funny funny ati cutting costs.
