The number of counties needs to be reduced to below 10. 47 counties are unsustainable.
Devolution saved Kenya from demigogs of corruption. Before you would find a contract in a county lets say Vihiga. The people awarded the contract live in Nairobi, from one tribe, have never set foot in Western Kenya. Rural focus for district development died in 1984. So no development was even considered outside Nairobi. It was Nairobi and Baringo being built roads, or where a powerful minister hailed from.

Jambas never wanted hii mambo ya devolution. In fact he was opposed to the current constitution. However, watu wameshaonja pesa ya county wanajua ubaya na uzuri wake. If he ever tries to reverse hii maneno, he will have the most epic battle of his life.
