The US never lost either of those wars. The thing is that in the case of Vietnam, the political pressure to withdraw actually came just as it was about to win that war. In fact, the US won every battle in Vietnam. The problem was that it lost over 50,000 soldiers in the process and that was too much for many Americans who did not see the massive losses in some country most did not even know on a map.
Mind you Vietnam’s losses were basically approaching depopulation level in some areas. There were 2 million Vietnamese dead, like 6% of the population.
Also, the NVA was not hostile to the US after the war. To this day, Vietnam and the US have a strong trade relationship.
The US never lost in Afghanistan either. Indeed, this is often seen as one of Biden’s pussifications. The US held the Taliban at bay with only 2,500 troops(mind you it has over 20,000 in Korea and Japan) . Many in the Democrat camp (think the Far Left) in their typical capitulation to Islamists thought the Taliban would be less extreme compared to the 1990s. They are actually worse, even openly saying women belong in 2 places; inside the house or the grave.
But the US chose to leave. It was not pushed out of either of those nations. Politics forced it to withdraw from Vietnam and Afghanistan, not defeat.

Put it simply, Mohammed’s attempt at uniting the Arabs past their tribes failed and today the only “Arabs” who have overcome tribal animosity are the ones who never had a tribe in the first place because they are not really Arabs but converts who nowspeak Arabic like the Egyptians, Levantine Syrians, The (very few) Palestinian communities which, are of Jewish, Samaritan and Christian descent and the Lebanese(who have sectarian divisions, but not tribal ones).
The entire Gulf, Iraq ,Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Northern Sudan(where the Arabs infected the Africans with their tribal structure. What is with Africans and always apeing their overlords),Mali and Chad, Arab are divided deeply based on tribe, to the point that even religion cannot overcome those divisions.
