My MP, confused fellow. Money made him stupid. He was Kamanda original project hoping he will get support from central region leaders. That flopped when UhuRuto didn’t buy into the idea. He spent so much time and sponsor money on the campaign that he forgot his backyard. Kamanda met Gumo and they unilaterally picked Wamalwa as their next project without even asking him, it was in the media and grapevine even before he knew. Though he reluctantly agreed, his campaign failed to take off. Once DP Uncle Ruto rehabilitated PK back to politics and into Jubilee, Kamanda quickly enrolled him as the next project. Same strategy again, trying to push under the name of central region leadership forum. This time UhuRuto came out in public saying they have no preference. Let rivals negotiate themselves or face each other on the nominations. No support to any groupings or forums except Jubilee alone. Sasa Dennis finds himself without a sponsor and he finally realized it’s the MP seat or retirement.

Then you don’t know anything about Nairobi politics. Kamanda has been in Nairobi politics for decades. He started as a councilor then MP. Build networks under Nyayo, Matiba and Kibaki times. In 2002 he lost Narc nominations to Mbaru but he forced Kibaki hand in getting him the ticket despite the lose. In 2007 he launched and funded PNU in Nairobi. By that time he had rose to a powerful city hall power broker. With power comes money and the sly fox joined TNA in 2013 and won again maintaining his status. His behind the scenes push led him to somehow consolidate Muranga/Kiambu politics in Nairobi. Old school politics at best, behind the scenes big power plays and silent in public. Most people in Jubilee don’t trust him at all since his connections in city hall continue and he has done well under kidero. Thats is why he faces resistance now.
