I have been trying to do some research on this company…mostly about the land that they have leased. But ALAS, I find that they have no information at all online…not even a website :eek:

http://www.delmonte.co.ke/ belongs to a cyber squatter and not the company itself. It seems to have some connections to the Del Monte company in the US (delmonte.com) but even them they have no acknowledgement of their Kenyan branch.

How is it possible that a multi-billion dollar company has no online presence at all? what’s up with this company?

I meant the company in Kenya, I went through that link as well, but still no mention of Kenya

Such info can’t be found on a website I suggest you start by visiting ministry of lands,Registar of companies or the company itself…

Article 35 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 guarantees citizens the right to access information held by the State.

If you can tell me what you are looking for, I maybe can give you a contact as one of my students did an internship with Del Monte. At least he may know to whom to address within the Thika branch.

I understand the kiambu county governemnt is trying to make them surrender or “donate” some of the pieces it is holding near thika town. The country government needs to develop the land behind thika town across the Chania river.
