The best busaa in Voi is brewed by a Kisii lady-Erisabeti Kemuma, she lives in a hood called kwa mwenyewe or something like that. Ask Douglas (assistant manager Manyatta) akupeleke kwake. Busaa ya Kemuma ni world cup!
Kuna club in town next to the green building housing KCB, they play nice bango music.
Although you have booked Manyatta Camp, you can also access all restaurants at Voi lodge. I suggest you have your lunch from the restaurant which is next to the water whole. Then make prior arrangements to have your four o’clock tea at the watch tower. Supper kula iyo restaurant ya Manyatta, it overlooks the river running down, book table ya far right corner.
As a rule, I do all school shopping by November, this way the textbooks / stationery and other materials are relatively cheaper and there is no “jam” as experienced in Jan.
I save some money every month (from Jan) for use in December festivities / holiday / traveling etc. This plan is also made for school fees.
Around Nov, Dec and Jan, am usually very strict with expenses. Before any disbursement is made, there has to be a budget.
