I actually don’t feel sorry for them. There are plenty of African countries they could have gone to but nooo… They wanted Europa… via the sea, crammed in a small rubber dinghy… a journey that has taken the lives of tens before them. Naah I don’t feel sorry for them, they knew what they were getting into. I feel sad though that they were desperate and unwise enough to risk the lives of their children.
No Syrians, no Afghans, no Iraqis just Nigerians and folk from west africa and some Eritreans and Ethiopians, countries with no serious conflicts EU should guard the Libyan Coast or any survivors should be taken back to Libya , the rescue boats just make the matter worse, the human traffickers take this folk to the middle of the sea and call SOS and the rescuers do their job for them.
I don’t celebrate death. But those niggas called death on themselves. What’s there in Europe to die for? Especially when you realize that these are mostly Nigerians, Ghanaians, Gambians, Malians and other west African Bitches, besides some Habeshas and Cushites from the horn.
They have no choice. The best they can be is a mboch back home. Many of them it’s better to try a life somewhere else. But unfortunately, the traffickers trick them into paying and then dump them.
They have a choice…be a mboch back home or die at sea…hata hiyo europe wakifika very few actually succeed…its hard enough for niggas who are there legally
Most of these people come from countries with higher levels of political instability thus the risk. There is a time a documentary was aired on Al Jazeera about the challenges faced back in Eritrea where most of the natives consider death in the sea honourable than back home. Thank God for Kenya’s sense of democracy.
You see they don’t know they will die at sea. The transporters don’t tell them that. All they know is extreme poverty. Yes I have even seen Kenyans who have lived illegally in Italy since the 70s. They would rather be a mboch there working part-time.
Mindset ndio shida, when things don’t work, it becomes hard for them to return. But if you can pay a trafficker 1,000 dollars or more just to die at sea, then that is not a very smart investment.
