This is about being a rule breaker.
When you are an under dog in any situation, refuse to play by Goliaths rules. That’s what David did.
When under dogs refuse to play by Goliaths rules, they win most of the time as Goliaths are caught by an element of surprise .
The Goliaths of the world have shaped the world so that we conform to their standards by which they dominate.
BIBLE TIME: Ok, after Goliath is slain, Saul says,
“Whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell. And the king said, Inquire thou whose son the stripling is” (1 Sam. 17:55).
If David were the killer, Saul would have known who he was because David was already a favorite in the royal court.
And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight. (1 Sam. 16:21–22).
Elhanan, son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite is a character in 2 Samuel 21:19, where he is credited with killing Goliath: “There was another battle with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, whose spear was like a weavers beam” . He was one of David’s “mighty thirty” men
Unfortunately, the bible has hundreds of contradictions because the Hebrew scribes invented biblical history from creation myths from polytheistic cultures (Egypt, Babylonian, Theban etc) to fit their monotheistic version of ‘God’. For David (and others) to fit in Jesus’ geneology he had to be hyped up.
Authors ;Graham Lloyd books eg Deceptions and myths of the bible ,Gary Greenberg’s 101 myths of the bible (recommended) - very interesting read.
Honestly who wd have thought its not the famous young boy with a tiny pebble that killed Goliath…accurately knocking him on the forehead between the Armour mask smh
