Dagoretti High School students clobber one another over sink, 17 injured

An argument between two students at the Dagoretti High School in Nairobi degenerated into a fight that left 17 of them with injuries.

Two students had argued over the use of a laundry sink on Sunday evening.

This degenerated into a fistfight and later to sticks that pulled more students.

Nairobi head of police Adamson Bungei said the fight left 17 students injured.

He said the students were rushed to Kikuyu and Kijabe Hospitals.

Two of them were seriously injured and are admitted to hospital.

Bungei said police visited the institution and contained the situation.

“We told them not to fight over such facilities because they are all brothers,” he said.

The school administration refused to comment on the matter, while parents and guardians visited the institution on Monday to check on their sons.
