Aaaawww… nice vids. But… uuuhh … that is so not the reality of having kids. There is the endless chaos… the sleepless nights… the constant worry that you are not doing it right… the times when you wonder if these are really your kids or a test from another dimension. Being a parent is not for the faint of heart. Then again, your baby will come and plant kisses on your unwashed face (you haven’t found time to take a bath all day!) or she will tell God “thank you for mummy” in her night time prayers, and you will silently cry cos you have never known a love like this.
Big up also to everyone who also helping us is raise our munchkins by giving them all the love and care they can. This includes nannies, aunties + uncles, and even neighbours who don’t complain when your baby cries all night waking up the dog which in turn wakes up the entire neighbourhood. It does take a bloody village.
But yes, if you have kids… go home and spend time with them. I tell you, nothing will make them happier Don’t do what most parents do, that is compensate for not being there with big, expensive gifts.
