Cursed Wealth

So there is this family in my village. They’re very wealthy as Fcuk. However, the father died a while back, leaving his estate in the hands of the kids. Apparently, there has never been peace in that homestead. An active succession case, vurugu, vita, and bitterness. The funny part is that the facts and legal issues of the case are so basic and straightforward that even a village chief can solve.

Some wealth inakuanga tu imelaaniwa.

It’s called GREED!

Wewe ni wale broke neighbors kazi ni kuongea mbaya na kusema curses

If you place yourselves in the shoes of the kids, look at this example ‘‘huyu kijana amejikolea kwa kitanda hadi akafika 19yrs na akapata d-kcse, pia ni mlevi amepewa 20acres .Na wewe wa A- na ma-pHD umepewa 7acres na hiyo land ata sii fertile.’’ Wars start here, there are kids who feel more entitled to their parents wealth than their siblings.

Greed

Let’s hekaya boss, this is so specific

You sound like the fool @uwesmake and his group of handles

Sina hekaya  I just try to understand people and think the way they think.

inculcate love and responsibility in your children

Sanity prevails in the middle, not too much and not too little. Hapo ndio discipline huwa iko. The morals of the rich and the poor are almost identical, the difference is how they are executed.
My question has always been, why don’t people sort out issues before they pass on , especially if one has multiple wives ?
Nderitu Gachagua, the former Nyeri Governor and brother to the current DP trailblazed on how wills should be written.

Wealth should be a source of comfort. Si kusambaratisha familia. If you don’t put your family in order, neighbors will observe and talk:D

Jana usiku ndio tumetoka huko. The entire village was awaken by screams from that homestead. Blows and machetes involved, but fortunately no casualties.

A very smart fella. He knew how to put his house in order.

iomune boiyo. Me nataka kuchangia Kwa hii mjadala Kwa kukuuliza swali. Unaona kama serikali ya Zakayo itasuluhisha inheritance troubles?

Labda ya kupost upus ungekua una lipa any daughter fixed price uweke ball ukue inlaws

Agreed
Unless there is a solid will and/or a strong matriarch/uncle, conflicts are likely to appear
In another example, there are three male siblings and last parent died without a will
only one was committed to family business … the rest are the useless siblings or decided to pursue life from family bs
dividing equally is unfair to the one who was in the business … the other two can also easily sell the company/assets since they have larger voting power

hii bado ni reasonable entitlement/concerns?

Achamegee chemosi. Succession problems are complex. Even with hundreds of legislations to remedy the problems, bado wanadamu ni wale wale.

:D:D

i would say he set the Gold standard on matter inheritance, liquidate everything , na kila mtu apewe yake. properties are not equal in value, and no matter how much you try to divide, some people will remain dissatisfied , even when dividing the same parcel of land.

In the land business kesi zinakuwanga zimejaa. Its usually mostly guys in their 40s quarreling over acres of land left by mzee. The smart siblings sell their share of inherited land immediately and use that cash to buy land elsewhere away from close family to avoid future issues.

Kuna watu hupata inherited land, wanapiga sherehe na hiyo pesa, halafu wanarudi kusumbua siblings who didn’t sell their share. The best move is always to sell immediately and buy land elsewhere with that money immediately. Hapo uko sure hutasumbuana na greedy relatives na makesi five years later pesa yao ikiisha.

The best move is to geta title to your land and deal ruthlessly legally with any trespassers, even if they are your brothers. It works.
