CS or CE..I need advice #Education Related

Hi guys , Nilikuwa nataka advice ya career related , Nimemaliza KCSE last year so niko na dilemma ya kuchoose between Computer Science na computer engineering ,saa naulizia watu wa forum , To give me an advice in terms of marketability , The workload of each course …Anyone is welcome to drop their Opinion ama view , Hata useme Pros n cons niweigh options zangu … and drop University nzuri pia . Your comments are appreciated

Do what interests you, else you will struggle and not enjoy it.
Find out the difference between the two, Google can help. However, Computer engineering integrates electronic engineering with computer sciences.

I think CS is way more marketable. You can learn a variety of software courses that you readily use. .

Yeah , well that’s the problem , I’m interested in either fields , I’ve googled and know the difference , while for CE deals with both software n hardware and CS is mainly software … But I though CS is more marketable in our country … So was asking for advice … Thanks for your comment

Electronic Engineering ? That’s a different course , and you thought is much better ?

I will tell you for free, usiguze engineering yoyote kama ni marketability no matter what a mofo tells you.
Niko hapa Chiromo. I have seen students beg for interfaculty to come to do any health science from the engineering courses.

They both have pros and cons…CE has fewer graduates and professionals than CS which is a little bit crowded however CS jobs are more available than CE jobs.

They both cancel each other out whichever you pick. However, a CE person can easily come off as a CS person but a CS person can never pass for a CE person.

I wish I was!
My Pharmacy class admitted 80 students, after interfaculty, we are 100. The nursing school admitted 47 students, they are 120. A 100% increase. Guess where they came from? Engineering! Interfaculty is done kabla hata kuanze kufunzwa so the fact that watu walitoroka courses hivo wakakuja CHS should tell you something.

People don’t run away from Engineering to do Pharmacy, Med or even Nursing. Pharmacy is engineering plus Med school combined. It requires a way higher cluster than any engineering. They are more intense than Engineering.

  1. To give you an example of what happens in Med school, Niko class saa hii, lessons zitaisha 5 jioni na it is always that way every day. Meanwhile, engineering students wako bed saa hii.

  2. Apart from their specialized maths, I can sit their Math papers (Calculus and Discrete maths) yet they can’t sit my maths as huwa wanaruka topics yet I don’t.

What do you want to do in future:
Build software and systems? - CS
Design computer chips? - CE
Build and program robots? - EE
AI & Machine Learning? - CS as a base and specialize in AI

*** also note that most of these can overlap depending on the university ***
