1. Who was the person(s) setting the agenda for the day?
The genz have always claimed to be leaderless, but the whole idea of going to occupy statehouse and printing the posters was deliberately done by a person or small group.
2. Why didn’t the protestors invade or vandalize key areas that have had the largest responsibility for police brutality?
The government claims that the “coup plotters” planned and executed the invasion of police stations and government offices in places such as Kikuyu and Ol kalau.
Why was Central Police station not invaded despite being the center of recent police brutality?
Why not invade the Office of the President along Harambee avenue that was not blocked by the razor wires?
Why not invade Vigilante house that is also in the vicinity and remains a symbol of police excessiveness?
My guess, the ambitious match to occupy state house was sponsored by government operatives. They learned that setting a target within CBD such as Office of the President or Vigilante House would be a success. State House is far off the CBD and the police will have a tactical advantage to stop the match.
It would also allow them to execute the looting in the downtown areas as the protestors set their eyes and energy to match up the big house on the hill.
