Cremate or bury?

Suddenly burial makes no sense, a waste of resources and time. Well, i’d prefer donating mine for study. Ukifa umekufa.

it’s personal choice but i think cremation is sensible.

I’d wish to be cremated too… Siwezi taka kulwa na mchwa

better be consumed by fire?:D:D:D:D:D

Me three. I’m not gonna feed ants. Trouble is those left behind sometimes pretend to know ones wishes more than the deceased

Good issue. We already decided to be cremated and what to do with our ashes.

Problem is it’s not even an option for most of us. I don’t know of any crematoriums where I live, save for Indian temples/etc. And I don’t think they would allow just anyone in there.

Transporting a body from countryside to the city for cremation is expensive.

I think Govt morgues should start offering the service.

And the research report will indicate the late @Limitless_ke had a limitless mjulubeng… in the opposite direction!

what best can one do with those ashes siulizi na ubaya someoone enlighten me

You are mean with your body in life and up to death?

We are allowed to choose cremation over burial as a means of laying a loved one to rest. Cremation is a popular choice since it is less expensive and more manageable than a full burial. Burial is still preferred, but cremation is an option. When a loved one has been cremated, their ashes must be kept intact, the same as one would treat a body. The ashes may not be separated or scattered. Instead, they should remain in a proper vessel that is interred in a proper place, such as a cemetery or church. Only the bishop can authorize an exception to this storage requirement in extraordinary circumstances. (Source: Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith - Catholic church)

If I could convince my people to bury me in an unmarked grave, that’d be nice. I want to feed ants and go back to being soil. Cremation is still not environmentally as friendly because inatumia wood and diesel fuel.

Nobody knows exactly where my great grandfather was buried, hapo kuna mti ama nyasi sasa. I think the problem with graves is the marking, if we could plant a tree instead it’s much better, after all, the only people who will remember you are those alive at the same time as you. I highly doubt my descendants beyond the second generation watajali nimezikwa wapi.

My wish would be to get buried next to my grandfather and father

Ng’ombe omba slices pole pole…

I recall the late John Michuki recommend his grave not to be tiled and instead of flowers on his grave they plant a banana.

Definitely not a pink handle:D:D

:D:D:D

mimi kama the great Bukusu elder will have a cemetry where i will be laid to rest at a hundred years after i get my 30 kids na some tissue ikuwe saved for cloning if the technology finds me gone , nirudi barubaru kuendelea na mission yangu on earth .

We have a crematorium at the langata cemetery.

i would donate my dead body to cryogenics ,Altered carbon style, rummage through Ktalk archives three hundred years from now:D:D:D:D:D:D
