African urban areas already have birth rates approaching replacement rates. This is true for Addis Ababa, Pretoria, Accra and Gaborone. Even Nairobi we are at 2.4 and it will keep dropping. The only reason they are growing is rural urban migration. When Africans become an urban people as we will be in 20 years, we will decline just like the rest of the world.
I mean right now the medium to high quality private schools are asking people for 40k for fees at freaking kindergarten in this city. And 150k for Lower grade, yeah. Who will have more than 2 with that price tag for education only???

Nobody in China will have three kids just because the government gave the green light. In those developed economies, the direct and indirect cost of raising ONE child runs into millions of dollars from birth to college graduation. No government can make a parent whole for that amount. If they need workers, they will have to import adults from other nations and specifically from third world countries. The native Chinese won’t start breeding aggressively just because the government suggested so.

Don’t underestimate the CCP’s capacity to social engineer the populace to have more kids just like they did with the one child policy.

Forcing people to not have kids is far easier than forcing them to have children. At the point where China is, it is nigh impossible.
Consider this, if women are to have more children, that means leaving the workplace for several years.
That means hundreds of millions of people leaving the workforce over the span of a decade or two at a time China is rapidly ageing. Who will replace the women who have gone on maternity leave and will have to do so at least twice???
At the same time, trying this on urban Chinese is automatically relegating half the urban class to poverty.
Two income households with no children can barely afford to live in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing or Tianjin.
Now you want one of the household income earners to stop earning in order to add two more household expenses called children that will rely on one household income at least for the first year??? Also across all of Asia, women find it difficult to go back to work after having children. Japanese and Korean women for example are often harassed at work simply for going back to work when they have a child to take care of. Right now with the two cold policy, many companies are refusing to hire women who will take up more than one maternity leave. So if they take time off, they may never go back to work, ever. And in any of China’s large cities
that is Automatic poverty right there and poverty is the driver of revolutions
