Hey Villagers, if you had enough resources to invest back in your home county, what would you invest in? I come from Nyeri county and its really difficult to figure out with certainty what I would invest in but probably would be somewhere along the Ag value chain. Have been looking at what has been done since they held their investors conference and there really isnt much to write home about, most projects havent kicked off, coffee wrangles etc but maybe wrong. @gashwin shed some light on what is happening in that county…what would you invest in your home county and why?
I would invest in a very good relationship with the governor anirushie tender zote. How is Gachagua by the way, I hear he is grooming his bro Rigathi to be an mp.
Hear he is ever out of the country on health reasons
I have come to realise that what you invest in those County acres wont fetch soo much unless you are 100% hands on.
Not planning on primary Ag alone, but the value chain

augue pole. Anyway hizi counties with the exception of Nairobi and mombasa unless you live there and be a hands on person hakuna kakitu ya maana. infact most of those businesses doing very well in the counties have their roots here in Nairobi e.g motorcycle biz, hizi za boda. Tender tu ndio inaweza kuinua huko. I’m not discouraging you though, if you have a game plan by all means go for it.
There is this group I saw in Meru some weeks ago they had processed their own hibiscus tea, green tea and made their own papaya, mixed fruit and other jams that I bought, pretty neat cottage factory. They seemed to be doing pretty well too. Had consolidated farmers well also. And there are numbers you should send me today…
For now the county can sustain them, but in order for them to grow and expand they will have to cast their net wider. Check inbox
