Conjestina's woes

I have just seen Conjestina’s story that is doing rounds online, apparently she is now broke and mentally ill. Recently the public turned against her na wakampiga kama brukenge after she chose to be a heroine by trying to save a thieve who was getting justice administered by a mob. Her story made me think of the likes of Mzee Ojwang and Maurice Odumbe. In his heydays Mzee Ojwang was being payed around 150 k per episode and he had a major endorsement deal with Optica kenya (reportedly he was Kidinyi’s comrade in SJ hapo ndio pesa iliishia). Maurice Odumbe was one of the highest payed athletes in Kenya before he was banned for match fixing. Conjestina had an endorsement deal with Kenchic. My point is we owe these people nothing they had their fame and they made money, they should take responsibility for their poor financial management. Wasianze kulilia wakenya when the chicken come home to roost.

ya Conjestina is allowed coz yake ni mental case na si kutaka kwake…zile mangumi alipewa imefanya achizi so sisi wakenya tunafaa msaidia. On the other hand jaluo jinga kama Odumbe hawafai kusaidiwa…i saw this guy on JKL…msee alikuwa spendthrift during his hey days. He wud spend money recklessly the ujaluo way. Hio yake ni shimo ama kaburi ya kujichimbia

We didnt force her to box. Si alijipeleka kwa ring? If she mismanaged her money personally or whether it was the people around her, that is on them not us.

The mindset of individuals is what matters. And it neither knows race nor religion nor class.
I was looking at the likes of DMX, Kalamashaka … in their heydays they minted a lot. Now they are basket cases.
Compare them to akina Puff Daddy, Dre etc etc

I think to help them walazimishwe a mandatory medical cover or such plans… they put Kenyans on the map huwes kata we cannot help all the rest of “high profile athletes/personalities”… We got enough in our hands as is. Even Kalamashaka went down the same route drugs and such but they represented HipHop really good.

Hakuna…lakini huwezi spend doh zako zote halafu uanzie stori za “serikali saidia”.
hata wewe wakanyuma, huwezi kubali stori ka hiyo!

That is what NSSF is supposed to do, lakini in Kenya ni stash ya the chosen few

Kalamashaka’s Vigeti released a phenomenal album recently, but it doesn’t have the kind of music that Kenyans listen to.

Odumbe lived life on the fast lane, had a string of relationships with white women. To supplement his income and to live the life, dude was lured into the murky world of match fixing. But he forgot the all important saying that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Some of those white women he had used and dumped turned against him and provided evidence that nailed him during the match fixing investigations. Dude lived life like a true jang’o.
