Imagine if Africans could redirect that fresh water inlands.

Stupid idea. The rain forest would dry up and the rest of east Africa would be in trouble. The best thing would be to build a canal linking the great lakes with the river for transportation the way the US and Canada have done with their great lakes.

in my travels i found out kisii’s share language with a tribe from lesotho. for example the word mogaka to them is hero but to kisii’s is a respected old man.

Tana and Athi rivers are also capable of feeding the whole of east africa. Machakos,makueni, kitui, tana river should be kenya’s grain basket. If egyptians can utilise the nile to irrigate the desert, then we also can do the same here.

Lol. The Nile is a massive river, you can’t compare it with tiny Tana and Athi. It drains 10-20km on both sides of its banks for a good 1000km stretch in egypt.

When it floods hiyo maji inabreak banks na kuspread 5-10km on both sides so they built the Aswan dam and canals into the desert to control that water for irrigation. That’s why Egypt exports food to us yet we have the massive lake Victoria imezubaa tu hapo.
