CITAM Church Online

You mean the pastor? Of course very fallible, he’s human.

Poleni…Apparently, most of the churches have been turned into business ventures(Yet they don’t want to pay taxes). Most have schools which the members can’t even take their kids because of the fees charged. However, we have some churches here in Nairobi that are level-headed they don’t pressurize or twist their members into giving with silly promises. Allow me to mention some(the list is not exhaustive) - Baptist, Nairobi Chapel, Nairobi Lighthouse, CITAM. The pastors are salaried and pay taxes and give offerings/tithes like the other members. The funds are managed by Deacon Boards and are audited every year. We

I think I like Nairobi chapel best. Citam is also quite rational in their approach. Everyone I’ve met who goes to Nbi chapel is exactly the kind of Christian I’d like to be. Also their PMC classes are up there…after 10 weeks of classes, the church takes those couples out of town for a retreat.

Look at Jesus Is The Winner Ministry(In Roysambu - Church ya Bishop Mwai). That Church has a congregation of over 10,000 who attend every Sunday. Most of the Congregants come from areas like Githurai, Mwiki, and other “low-income” areas in Nairobi yet the Church found it fit to buid “Jewel Complex” next to TRM yet some of the members struggle on well-equipped schools and hospitals to take their children. Would it have been wise if they would have built a school or a hospital instead. This is one area where the Catholic Church beats these other churches hands down. Look at some of the best hospitals and schools and you will realize that they are(were) Catholic managed.

Some of these “panda mbegu” churches give politicians pulpit to spew their tribal hatred and in return give lots of the cash to the church. One thing that I always advocate against is being a religious sycophant I don’t take everything that my pastor asks cause I believe he is human. You have to ask the why questions

Siku hizi najiombea kwangu.
