CHRISTMAS PRACTICES

25th December of every year is supposed to be the celebration of the parturition of Jesus, however the masses have been duped into perfoming the following rituals:

  1. Putting everest ‘christmas’ trees in their houses and decorating it.
  2. Writing and mailing cards to one another and hanging the cards around the house.
Outdated and old-fashioned, this practice has been replace with useless forwards on whatsapp. A ‘Have a merry Christmas and a…’ text does in no way celebrate, acknowledge or commemorate the birth/ importance of Jesus Christ.
  3. Nonsensical beliefs in a ‘Santa clause’ who slides through chimneys and gives people gifts.
  4. Sharing gifts with each other and engaging in gluttony.
  5. Subliminal notions that Christmas season is about having fun, drinking, travelling and engaging in iniquity

All above do not honour Christ or Christianity but are part of a well orchestrated scheme to stray people off track. People are naive enough to embrase peculiar practices and too lazy to question them or do basic research.

Let people enjoy the festive season in whichever way they want. Life is short enough to worry about those things.

Makasiriko aiseh over non trivial issues.
