Simply put, these are all fruits of corruption–corruption of the overall justice system. Don’t be naive. These ‘models’ are just terms thrown around to confuse those who know no better. Ruto has been in power in various capacities, for very many years. Show me where he has applied the bottom up approach to anything, and I’ll listen to you. You probably don’t know that bottom up is not a new idea. The concept was being taught when he was an undergraduate at the university. Why hasn’t he applied it all these years?

Ruto can’t even hold a meeting in Bukhungu without the permission of the county commissioner and you’re talking about implementing a revolutionary economic model? Why didn’t Raila finish corruption as prime minister? Why didn’t he implement babacare then? Why didn’t kibaki build Thika Road when he was VP?

There are some things that you can only do when you’re president. Having said that, it is Ruto who changed the conversation. Raila would rather talk about BBI and democracy and other irrelevant rubbish if you allowed him. They insulted bottom up instead of presenting a different model. Why do you think Azimio keeps saying, “It’s not about manifestos?” Because they never thought through about what they want to achieve.

Hehe, you cannot be DP, the second most powerful position in govt, then start whining that a county commissioner is harassing you and stopping you from holding meetings, yet you are still the boss. That is comical. If you cannot handle such a simple matter, why should we trust you with bigger things?
This is a job that calls for a lot of soft skills, and you’re being tested for suitability, then you go about shouting angrily at rallies and expect that to earn you approval?
If we are to compare Raila and Ruto in terms of their records,at least there are things you can point out Raila did, e.g the roads. The Thika superhighway was a project designed during the coalition govt of Kibaki and Raila. If you’ll recall Raila was Roads Minister he ruthlessly had structures built on road reserves taken down, much to the anger of the builders. It stopped when they took him off the docket. What I don’t agree with is your argument that as an employer, if you fail to impress me at an assistant’s position, then I ought to ignore your lacklustre record and make you a boss. It doesn’t work that way.

Ruto was one of the people that pushed for the creation of county commissioners and he is not planning to remove them. Ruto and his people like to pretend like we have an economic problem yet we have a social and cultural problem
