CHLORIDE EXIDE LITHIUM

WHO has tried them do they work

Those are LiFePO4 lithium. They should work fine. Strange the technology is now very cheap and affordable

Any link to real website

Nimesearch nimeona ziko kwa soko, but i dont trust website sijui. Link 100ah 12.8v Platinum Lithium Battery LiFePO4 – Chloride Solar - Macire

Looks good

@mtadao has a missed call.

Love that you can draw 100Amps continuously. Such continuous heavy draws would quickly kill lead acid batteries.

You should throw away your lead acids and buy the 24v 200ah lithium which can comfortably run a 2.5kw inverter. I think your current lead acids (24v 200ah) have a recommended continuous discharge of 0.1C ie 20amps giving you a total power of 20*24 = 480W. Switching to lithium will give you 5 times more power from 480w to 2500w and double usable battery capacity from 100ah (2.4kWh) to 200ah (5kWh).

very nice

A friend of mine who works at Chloride has them at his home and they work fine

Explain to me like a 2yr old what gadgets that 24v 200ah can power and for how long.

lets combine power of fridge 100w,lighting led bulbs 50w a tv and tv 48w.Adding we get 198watts,

power= voltage x current
198=24v x current (I)
I=198/24 =8.25 amperes
capacity = current x time
200ah=8.25xt
t=200/8.25=24.24 hours

Or simply:
24v 200ah battery holds energy capacity of 24x200=4800wh
Load = 198w
So battery can power load for 4800/198= 24.24hrs

To recharge the battery in one day which is about 5 sunhours you need panel size of:
4800/5=960w (about 2x500w panels).

Size of charge controller = 1000/24 = 41a (45 or 50a controller would do).

24v * 200ah = 4,800wh or 4.8kwh.

4.8kwh is same as kplc token of 4.8 tokens. So if you already use KPLC token you can estimate how long you can use 4.8 tokens. On average Kenyan home naona watu hutumia less than 2 token a day.

I use 150 units per month which is 5 tokens a day. Kwa hivyo hio battery ni size yangu…

Yes. It is the perfect size. The actual load on that battery is 25.6v * 200 = 5.12kwh or 5.12 kplc tokens. During the day you use energy from sun and at night the battery takes over

Meaning I need half the battery size coz during the day the sun is powering the loads.

No. Battery ikikuwa na storage nyingi ndio better. Kuna days utapata hakuna enough sunlight during the day to fully charge the battery

How is your lithium battery doing?
