Watching this documentary on CGTN DOCUMENTARY channel makes our SGR look like child’s play in terms of mega transport development. But then again their economy has tremendously grown over the last three decades. These guys had an infrastructure blueprint spanning thirty years and beyond to get to where they are. They’ve got serious government owned construction companies and don’t reek of corruption as our systems do.
We all start from somewhere but as long as projects are awarded on the basis of kickbacks, hatuendi mahali.
And to the SGR HATERS I’ve seen similar engines to what they delivered to us its just that their way of efficiency is way better than ours… One engine, can haul 20,000 tons of freight. We are not badly off.
One day high speed rail and flying will be affordable to most Kenyans. NO COUNTRY HAS EVER GREATLY DEVELOPED WITH MASS TRANSPORT MANAGED BY PRIVATE ENTITIES.
