The world is more peaceful and prosperous when we have more centers of military and economic power. Rise China to your global pole position. The usa and USSR emergence of global power came as a result of successfully winning world war 2 as allies. Their contribution to the world after continued by the barrel of the gun. War was a foreign policy tool. China has risen to power by courtship not war. Trade, development and strategic tie ups. Its soft power vs military power. Even the west is conflicted by China. All their corporate global companies have their main plants and factories in China but HQ’s at home. What draws them to China. China is the best businessman in the world now by being smart. Militarily China isn’t taking on usa directly but its taking up defensive positions around its interest that limits the west misadventures there. Case of point the south China sea that accounts for 40% of global shipping traffic. The USA has controversial bases in Guam, South Korea and Okinawa. China response is building up small islands in the straits to become military bases for the navy, strategic air, surface to surface and ground attack/defensive missile systems. It equalizes the USA military power in that region and the USA can’t scream about it enough. How dare China matches our capabilities in the region, its wrong and against their skewed entitlement. China is now building the same bases in Africa starting with Djibouti and in future it can do the same in Lamu or Harare. Either way the world has two centres of power to court for peace and security. I await Russia to continue rising and spread it influence further.
