Anyone who has ever operated a chemist outside Nairobi? i.e. in a smaller town
How do you order for drugs? Do you use local distributors or order directly from Nairobi?
What are your operational profit margins?

You cannot operate a pharmacy using the medicine degree papers…About the drugs I think nowadays you get the same discounts from local distributors compared to those in Nairobi. The only thing you need to consider is availability of clients. Without those you will close shop after 2 weeks. That is why you see guys opening a pharmacy right opposite the gate to a public hospital kama pale mama Lucy Kibaki. Otherwise if you have a good flow of patients the only thing you will need to worry about is availability of stock and of course ‘thieving’ from your trusted employees coz they will steal from you big time.
Good luck though!
