No, it’s the other way round. Freehold is yours outright, but leasehold belongs to either gava or a ‘landlord’ in the true sense of the word, so it’s like ou have rented it for x amount of years until the lease expires. In fact, the thing that’s stupid about leasehold is that they get more expensive with less time remaining on the lease. The last person holding the lease will be left holding the bag, so why buy or convert to leasehold property?
