CESSATION OF MOVEMENT IN AND AROUND NAIROBI METROPOLITAN

  • We are happy and satisfied with what the government is doing in trying to combat the Corona Pandemic in the country. We’ve supported the government in that regard for the past 3 weeks, THOSE OF US IN THEIR HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS WHO FALL JUST OUTSIDE THE METRO AND EMPLOYED IN THE INNERCORE OF THE METRO.

  • We are appealing to the government to just consider at least what we think could alleviate a possible job loss in this situation. There are many people residing in Makenji, Kenol, Kabati, Makuyu and are employed in Thika, along Thika Road or Nairobi. Same to people residing in Limuru, Githunguri, Ikinu and sorroundings and get their daily bread along the highway leading to Nairobi. Same case along major corridors.

  • We know many companies have closed shop, with it many job losses. WHY THEN SHOULD GOVERNMENT RENDER JOBLESS those that have jobs, when there are avenues to contain that with the stringent health and social distance measures in place? I dont see a reason why a company, still operating would not replace an employee who cant report to work for 6 weeks yet there’s work, in this economic situation.

-WE ALL KNOW THERE’S A CURFEW from 7pm to 5am. We have police road blocks all this time. Those reporting to employment can only do so between 6am to 9am maximum.

  • A SYSTEM COULD BE PUT IN PLACE THAT ALLOWS IN PEOPLE FROM 6AM INTO THE METROPOLITAN FOR ONE HOUR. For instance, anyone working along Thika Rd should be at the Chania checkpoint from 6am up to 7am.

  • WITH THE CURFEW IN PLACE, THERE’S NO WAY SOMEONE ON ANY OTHER BUSINESS CAN BE AT THE POINT if they are not in the confines of going to work. By evening again, let only vehicles to pass the road block within one hour, between 5pm to 6pm. WE HAVE A CURFEW IN PLACE, the entry will cater for that.

  • I HOPE THESE SUGGESTIONS AND MANY MORE can save people their jobs because I know there are many in dire situations, their jobs could be at risk going foward. We are going to adhere to the regulations of keeping everyone safe. Let the government kindly get to see this. Vulnerable people in this case arent only in the city and the slums! Many in this group have never done anything in their lives to put food on the table. Please consider them too.

who the fuck is WE?

kama watu huamka saa nane za usiku wakapige kura sasa kukua roadblock by 6 ndio ita walemea

We considered all this factors when we were settling in Karen.
