I normally use it hapo Carrefour Runda mall. You just scan your shopping, pay and go. Very efficient. Good to see that systems I used in the US years back zimefika kenya.

How will this work in Kenya where we have boneheads wenye husema watumiwe pesa after their items have been scanned…?? Kuna maumbwa hutuma mabibi supermarket wanawaambia wafanye shopping bila pesa hao mabibi wanaweka jam kwa queue wakingoja ghasia itume pesa. How exactly would you deal with such bonobos and their equally dense wives?

And if you scan some, miss some like @WasikA

There is a detector at the door, alarms will go off

How does it detect milk or bread that has not been paid for? I lived next to a Walmart that had such scanners, in a poor neighborhood. It was uizi central. You could stand there and see people stealing live live.

Fire cashiers.
Hire more security staff

In places where this systems work they limit the number of items you scan, I see around 15 items. Also you cannot check out any alcoholic drinks. I love since I don’t have to chit chat with the cashier since huku US some of the want to socialize and talk and hate talking to people without a purpose. The system can work better with debit cards or credit cards on top of cash and Mpesa.
