Been using Goodyear since 2014.
80,000 kms later I have dented 2 rims along the way but not even a single puncture.
Fucking awesome brand

And for that matter what tire brand is often seen as good yet are terrible and vice versa? And what exactly qualifies a tire to be considered good? @LISPY the best tires are those recommended by the vehicle manufacturer (yaani ile size ya tire ilikuja na gari). Hizo ndo tested and approved mostly the brand maybe expensive but pls maintain the sizes. Am struggling to get a 225/55/R18 Bridgestone na moja ni 34K na siwezi weka ingine liwe liwalo.

Size that is okay…Getting a good brand ndio tricky.Seen hata sijui za china zingine za India.Shida its the salesmen lingua…can’t squeeze the truth from them.

Expensive tires are soft and less likely to harden with age. they keep their grip and are not likely to chip.
cheap tires are hard, noisy, they slip, and are likely to cake and chip.
Expensive tires do not necessarily stay for longer.
bad tires will easily lose shape leading to lack of balance or failure.
All tires on personal private cars tend to stay on for a few years if they dont experience some major failure. So a fellow doing 20000km a year driving alone might think his tires last forever. he just isnt using them a lot.

Ling long is soft and wears quicker than ice cream on a sunny day.

I have been on Achilles too .So far so good i have less tire roll noise and decent grip on wet surfaces.

You’ve been very lucky. 185/70R13 and 175/70R13 Yana zilisumbua vinoma sana. That’s how we discovered GT Radial (Indonesia).

Practical experience: Pirelli (Argentina) would last about 3 months, 4 at most (sizes 175/70R13 and 185/70R13). Yana would last about 5-6 months, but wear out unevenly (hata nyuma kwa diff) and had by far too many manufacturer defects that caused bumps to develop on the sidewall. GT Radial (Indonesia) would last around 11-12 months, absolutely no issues. Best tyre ever at the time, at about half the price of Yana and 2/3 the price of Pirelli.

Distances covered: 3000km every 8-12days.

If you go for Achilles, make sure it’s made in India. Counterfeits ni nyingi.

For 195R15C, none beats TruckMax/ Maxxis at the moment. As always with a good thing, counterfeits have recently appeared.
