I have been enjoying my ride. In fact, I drove over 200 kilometers yesterday. No problems. Today morning, I tried starting the car, but it could not. Naturally, I asked my neighbor to help me JumpStart it. It didn’t work so we ruled out a dead battery. It took me almost one hour but finally, it started. Right now, it is running smoothly as if nothing happened. What might have been the problem? I have turned it off and on many times now and it is okay.
I don’t think there is a problem unless it’s does the same after parking it for hours a few more time.
spark plugs or ignition problems…
Starter could be on its way out.
Low voltage battery manifesting over time.
Fuel pressure is low
Spark plugs are gay
What sound was it making? Was it tonyonyonyonyo ama a clicking sound when you try to start?
Ilikuwa inaskia baridi, jua ikawaka ikaamka.
If it was making no sound when trying to start then it is a computer problem. I had one that would start when it feels like. Especially if i made a stop after a long journey, it would require like an hour of rest to start again.
Are you usinng a remote key? If so, the battery may be low.
Tonyonyonyo sound. How come the car is functioning properly now?
Or a bad chip in the Key.
No remote key. Old school corolla
That’s a tough one. Do you remember the steps you took to before it started?
Nothing exact. I just cranked the engine and after like 20 times it started. Any other time, I crank just once and it starts without a problem. I am afraid it might happen again unexpectedly.
If it is auto, make sure the gear lever is at PARK.I suspect the lever switch must be pressed by the lever mechanism before the engine can start.I am used to this in my jalopy .What is usually do is move the lever to R then firmly to P
When I park every time, the lever is always at P and the hand brake pulled up ALWAYS. That is what I am used to because that is how I was trained. So, I don’t think that could have caused the problem.
Your car have something we call cold start.
That means your car needs to be checked by a mechanic (service ya oil and spark plugs)
I was also trained Kama wewe but the switch does not activate Park mode even though the lever is at P .Shida in this case is the switch not the driver.
It could be the spark plug or battery, better go to carshop just to be sure which of these could be the reason.
The problem was solved.
