Some years ago, I read in a newspaper that a Toyota Fielder was selling at 1.4 million shillings in Kenya and just 400k shillings in Somalia.

Now, if what inflates the Kenyan car prices is taxes which are even more expensive than the actual price of the car, can’t it be better and MUCH CHEAPER to buy a car in another country and register it there, and then come with it to Kenya and pay just 20k to have the foreign registration changed to Kenyan?

I am sure they’ve thought of this, otherwise it would be a big loophole.

Maybe the process of getting Kenyan plates will require paying taxes.

Have you considered the 8 - year age limit… unapata hio fielder ni ile ya 1971 nyakati za isaac newton (ni gari muzee)
