Insurance companies don’t cover flood damage as a result of widespread natural disasters. It is called the ‘act of God’ similar to earthquakes and wild fires. Hapo uko solo.

It all comes down to the individual insurance company, the products that the individual company offers and the amount you are willing to part with in premiums.
pretty much every risk is insurable - hata acts of terrorism.
