British is a no. But German needs service particularly preventive maintenance. If you keep it served well, they run better than Toyotas.

You know to me a car is a just a tool. I don’t put too much prestige to them. In the last 2 years I have owned European and Asian brands.
A car is just a means to get from point A to point B. There were times I used to drive a Porsche 911 and I felt like a king driving on the California coastline and loving that Hollywood lifestyle but it gets old fast.
I still remember how I’d always have a girl on the passenger seat and you know how these non-black women have hair for days - hair that flows with the wind when it blows - both of us wearing Rayban shades. Look, hiyo yote ni vanity. It’s good to enjoy periodically but get something with actual utility.
Nowadays I just drive a Tesla model 3 because I don’t have to pay for gas and don’t have to worry about maintenance. Hell, I just take public transport mostly because it’s convenient.
Nowadays, I only buy something that has utility. For example, I had to buy the apartment I live in because fuckers kept increasing the rent by 10% every year. I guess as you get older, you start being very intentional with your money because Hii yote ni vanity.
Nikiwa Kenya I’ll just get a rav 4 for the only reason that I don’t want to be bullied kwa barabara by stupid drivers.
The point is you don’t need to drive a certain car, own a certain type of house, or take your kids to certain schools. Just find something practical and useful and take it from there. Go slow. Hii haraka inamaliza watu.

I know someone who takes his kids to an international school. He lives from hand to mouth…Jamaa anapata pesa mingi at once but zote zinaishia school fees.

The average cost of an international school is 1M per term so it averages out to 3M per year alafu ongeza 1.5M on top for extracurriculars (trips, sports activities, recreation etc etc). Let’s say total costs ni 5M.
Basically, you spend on average 420k per month towards school fees meaning you should make significantly more than this amount monthly. Unless you’re stupid, you shouldn’t spend more than 10% of your take home on school fees per child meaning you should comfortably be making somewhere in the neighborhood of 4M per month.
Still, even at a 4M I wouldn’t recommend you take your kid to an international school. Why? You can’t compete with the parents who get their kids’ school fees paid by the UN, or their respective embassies or whatever NGO they work for. Your 4M is peanuts compared to the machinery that funds school fees in such schools. Unless you have about 100M chilling in some bank account, untouched then unaweza peleka mtoto Peponi.
Otherwise if you only make 1M per month na unakazana na mortgage utaskumwa ushangae.
