The David Horowitz Freedom Center, a conservative organization that initially supported Candace Owens, has released a statement distancing itself from her.
They expressed regret for propelling Owens to fame, criticizing her for false claims about Israel and her focus on personal fame over meaningful activism.
The organization condemned her remarks as ignorant and morally obtuse, expressing disappointment and stating they will continue to support activists committed to freedom and human life.
âSix years ago, the David Horowitz Freedom Center invited the then little-known Candace Owens to its annual Restoration Weekend gathering of conservative movers and shakers,â the organization began.
âThe David Horowitz Freedom Center went on promoting Candace, honored her with an Annie Taylor Award for Courage in 2018, and hosted her at multiple events,â it is âso disappointed in what she has become.â
âThe David Horowitz Freedom Center wishes to express its deep disappointment with Candaceâs ignorant, hateful and morally obtuse remarks about Israel and the Jews. But, of course, itâs not just about the Jews. The Jews are the canaries in the mine. The West is next and America above all.â
âItâs one thing to have been alive in the Thirties and not realize where the Nazis were heading. It is quite another to be alive during a 75-year campaign by Islamic jihadis to âfinish the job that Hitler started,â and fail to stand against their open campaign to create a second Holocaust.â
Owens had been involved in a feud with colleague Ben Shapiro over her comments on Israel, but the Daily Wire co-CEO defended her right to express her opinions.
It was ok with them when she daily insulted and shamed Black people but Jews are off limits? Ben Shapiro (Jew) is begging her to quit because he cannot withstand the far-rightâs fierce backlash if he was to fire her. Ben is toast!
Also, the second Holocaust is pretty much inevitable at this point.

Owens had a speaking tour scheduled in cities in New Zealand and Australia booked for February and March of 2025.
In October, Australian Immigration Minister Tony Burke announced the country was canceling Owenâs Visa because she "has the capacity to incite discord in almost every direction,â multiple outlets including the New Zealand Herald reported.
A spokesperson with Immigration New Zealand confirmed with USA TODAY Friday that Owensâ "Entertainers Work Visa" had been denied on Nov. 19, citing a rule that bars applicants from receiving a visa if âthey have been excluded from another country.â
Owens addressed the situation on her podcast, saying she has âlawyered upâ and plans to appeal Australiaâs decision, while accusing the country of denying her visa before she had applied.
Owens is a far-right commentator with a podcast and YouTube channel. She has a history of spreading antisemitic rhetoric, including Holocaust denial and revisionism.
Burke reportedly mentioned her rhetoric from âdownplaying the impact of the Holocaust with comments about (German SS officer Josef) Mengele through to claims that Muslims started slavery,â as a reason for her denial.
Owens responded to the move in one of her YouTube videos in October, accusing him of lying and leaking the decision to the press.
âAll of this is to just make a statement to try to present me as some very scary person akin to Adolf Hitler,â Owens said.
In September, Owens said she was suspended from the YouTube Partner Program which allows creators to make money, after the Google subsidiary deemed some videos in violation of ad-friendly and community guidelines, according to emails she shared on social media.
