Yes. You will be directed to a KCB Mtaani agent where you will pay a KES 100 service charge.
Then you take the receipt to a cop inside the Huduma center who will give you an abstract which you will then use to request for a replacement ID. If you are lucky,that process should take half an hour. If you are very very lucky,within 10 days you will receive a text message telling you to go and collect your new replacement ID.
Of all things this gava has done,this is one success story…

They dont send messages…wanakwambianga ukishapewa waiting card…angalia after 14 days.
GPO utafanyiwa kila kitu…but u got to have extra coins for: 100 ya kulipia ID yenye utatumwa hapo KCB across the street, na photocopy 10 or 20 bob…ata kama u have a million clearer copies lazima utumwe kwa copier iko hapo nyuma ya GPO. U’ll wait for 14 days.

They do send messages. I have given my own experience at the Nanyuki Huduma Center. Actually,they sent me two text messages. And on arriving there,they requested to see the text message after which I got my replacement ID.

You ought to have done it the sooner you had noticed it was lost for the sake of your safety. The ID could be found in a crime scene, or used to steal your identity and commit crime; you will say it was lost but you wouldn’t have reported. Unajipata kamiti ukifirwa mkundu.

It is supposed to be free. I did not pay a shilling.
It was free until Kenyans as usual with their peculiarity took advantage and started taking IDs every other week gava ikatake note…kwanza kuna mtu alinishow alichukua ID tatu in one month…
