Hi everyone. Is there anyone out there with experience selling stuff on Jumia? What are the entry requirements?
Help a brother out.
Entry requirements into jumia?I guess you should email jumia for more specific answers if you cant find help in the village
I sold with them a year ago. There is a minimum requirement depending on what products you are selling. They used to have a warehouse in Babadogo where they stored all your products but not anymore. You have to keep the merchandise in your own shop and everytime there is a purchase they send a delivery driver. You also have to generate SKU numbers for each and every product you will sell on their site. I must warn you though, they never pay on time! You have to keep chasing them, hiyo ujinga ndio ilifanya ni cancel contract. They still owe me money to date. Go see them at Kaka house.
Thank you @Akeelah ,@Mshikadau. Naona the small guy is still getting shafted by the big corporations.
What type of merchandise are/were you selling?
Home appliances.
Jumia vendors should stop calling themselves “business people” they are basically employees of Jumia.Jumia eats more than 60 percent of the profit.
Ongea vitu unajua! Majority of the people who sell on Jumia are established business people with their own shops. They only use Jumia to maximise sales. And no, they do not take 60%.
Tuseme tuu wewe ni ignorant

half wit,beat the capitalist drums.
Here is a case study,i sell a mouse bought at 250 for 500 ksh. My profit is supposed to be 250 but jumia will deduct 15% of the product cost,50 bob packaging, 60 for delivery so in short my net profit is 75 ksh (30 % of the the profit) Jumia in this case rakes 70% of the profits.
on top of having a shop i also got an A in maths, here is my case study ,i sell a mouse bought at 250 for 500 ksh. My profit is supposed to be 250 but jumia will deduct 15% of the product cost,50 bob packaging, 60 for delivery so in short my net profit is 75 ksh (30 % of the the profit) Jumia in this case rakes 70% of the profits.
