I look at wazungus and i wonder why they get called white , even blind people can tell what the color white looks like and caucasians are not that color . I wonder if we started a campaign to stop calling them white , watajitetea aje ? …i can pay to hear the reasons they’ll give to be called WHITE …and what color are they , RED , PINK , BEIGE , BROWN ?
I have noticed over time that Africans will always comment and point out just how black southern Sudanese are even though they see then everyday here in NBI.
It almost seems like pointing out how someone else is soo soo black has a therapeutic and ego boosting effect on kawaida wanjiku types.

color is just the concentration of melanine in your skin… Having a lot of melanine in the tropics is a good thing… so for most african cultures, kukuwa mweupe was a sign of sickliness…
huko temperates, the opposite was true… coz too much melanine reduced your sensitivity to get Vitamin D from the sun in winter, and summer was spent hiding and cooling off in the caves coz the sun was too hot…
So its pretty easy to understand the cultural roots of skin color prejudice… Will it go away?.. I dont think so… watu wajifunze kukaa kwao where they are celebrated… or stick together where they can protect each other properly…
