Usijaribu. I have a (over) 2 year old HP lappy that I bought brand new. I have never had a problem with it. Sasa kedo august last year my cuzo bought one of those bloody refurbished machines, just coz it was sijui 15k cheaper. Sahii anashinda akinipigia simu vile machine inamsumbua. Nashindwa sasa anatakaje juu I clearly advised him to buy a new laptop.
To cut a long story short, usijaribu.
I forgot to mention refurbished from the manufacturer not just anybody.
Will it still be bad?
Buy new stuff when it comes to electronics. Furniture you can buy old if you wish
It depends on a number of factors e.g. how rare the item is, its current state, the state of your pocket among others.
But whatever the case, avoid a refurbished pace maker! Even a single malfunctioning electronic item in it is enough to make you say adieu to puyss forever!

Kama ni manufacturer it could be good. You should look at the price difference (new vs refurb) and the urgency. If you can save for around 3 more months to afford a new machine, I would advise you to wait a little longer. But if it would take you something like a whole year to save for new, but its something you need urgently, you may take your chances with a refurb.
As a rule I always buy new machines. I have seen people spend more repairing a used machine than they would have spent had they just bought it new.
Mimi nataka washing machine but the price of the new one is way above my budget, there are used on olx but older machines so nangoja hii Njaanuary some guy aweke a slightly newer model

Back in 2011 I bought a refurbished Fujitsu laptop from uk for 30k that was a beast until some fuckers stole it from me na wakaniwacha na black eye.

If find that same laptop at same price or slightly higher will definitely buy it. a new one retails for 110k.
