Buying EPZ Denim

Do people still buy high quality denim from EPZ? I’ve heard you can find very good quality denim that can last for years.

Apparently, EPZ Kenya makes export clothes for Calvin Klein, HM, Victoria Secrets, Levis and Tommy Hilfiger.

Ama ningoje hizo jeans ziende majuu alafu zirudi Kenya kama mitumba so we can support the hustlers? Ama namna gani?

Saidia elder. Where can I buy brand new EPZ jeans?

Nguo za EPZ ni size kubwa.

Where are the EPZ cloths sold?

Levis it is kwa jeans. kama wewe ni small size enda upeane custom specifications. na si tafadhali

Hiyo Levis ntapata wapi?

EPZ have them. quality jeans ziko tu na sisi

I have always thought EPZ is only for export, as in export processing zone. They are given tax incentives to do that. Even with that and their occasional sales that they are allowed to do, the costs are still higher or at par with the Chinese imports, considering they mostly have the line rejects for the sales and the lower qualities.
Good quality is expensive, no shortcuts about that, good fabric and workmanship is expensive.

The other option end hapo Jericho market, ongea na those fabric vendors unaweza pata EPZ like fabric.

Levi normally retails at between 10k and 20k locally…but right now just walk into any levi shop, leave your number to any of the beautiful sales ladies who will then send you an alert whenever they have a 75% sale…you will end up with a very good pair for less than 4k. Don’t ever buy any clothes or footwear at normal price…always wait for sales…leave this task to your wife/ girlfriend because they are always shopping every other week anyway
…you can also go to shops like woolworth and get proper summer clothes ( esp shirts) at discounted prices…and when you want to get winter ones then buy them during summer…this is a secret I learnt nikiwa majuu…its a trick people from developed countries use…don’t ever waste money on clothes … shoes also… if you are into branded sneakers kama Nike, Adidas etc…also go for sales…utapata na less than 7k. Kwanza kama una mguu kubwa then you are very lucky…from No. 11 hizo hukua discounted hapa Kenya throughout the year.
But if you are a celeb/politician/ pastor and you want to look the part then it’s easier and cheaper to do such shopping once in a while Dubai au mzansi…its much cheaper even if you factor in air tickets but provided you plan it around other engagements ( maybe gigs, workshops) …again, hunt for clearance sales.

check out lc waikiki…bought some kenyan made jeans there circa 2017/18…still going strong.

No bro…as a man don’t ever buy from waikiki…maybe khaki…their clothes are attractive but very very low quality. Waikiki is good for women and children stuff because they buy large quantities and very often so the tear and wear won’t be visible

Check Aladdin outlets. I bought some very nice kenyan made jeans and khakis from them at greatly discounted prices.

I see from their Facebook page last year’s sale started around July(50% off)upto September (75%off)

kumbe kuna levi strauss kenya?
wacha tubaki na mingaro ya gikosh tukae kama chokosh

Shida iko wapi? We will slim them

This is the kind of useful information that you only get on Kenyatalk. Sande sana.

There are a lot of low quality clothes in Kenya, especially hizo za Eastliegh. Jeans mingi zinachapa after 6 to 12 months.

But Levi jeans can last you for a few years while still looking brand new.

Kwanza ukienda kwa levi shop upate longi ni kubwa you simply give them your new measurements alafu their tailor will work on them…very professional job…I assume they usually take them back to Athi River…then you pick them after 2 to 3 days
