what you need;

  • boiled butternut then peeled and mashed
  • flour + pinch of salt
  • some lukewarm water, oil
  • music
  • leftover kill-me-quick:D

steps - phase I;

  • mix butternut mash with liquids then add flour and start kneading, stop when dough haiko sticky
  • cover with a kitchen clothe and leave to rest, give or take 30-45mins depends on kill-me-quick

steps - phase II;

  • divide dough into two and roll out, apply some oil like 1tsb then roll into a cigar and cut equally. usually four pieces for me.
  • repeat the process for the remaining dough, una end up na eight pieces, leave to rest and cover. meanwhile changamkia stew etc.

steps - phase III;

  • wekela pan kwa moto, roll out zile pieces into shapes.
  • weka kwa hot pan flip ziki anza ku brown, na prefer kuzi choma niki malizia so nazi sunda kwa paper ya unga.
  • realise ulisahau pic effidence

  • anza kuzi choma na ka oil kiasi sana
  • you are done, awesome outcome…

I grow butternut but I hate its taste. So bland.

I think the magic happens in getting the correct heat settings but kuna many factors, lukewarm water, kneading just enough, resting, type of pan etc @Mrs4thletter can enlighten us.
