Argentina and Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for tax fraud, Spanish media say.
His father, Jorge Messi, was also given a jail term for defrauding Spain of €4.1m (£3.2m; $4.6m) between 2007 and 2009.
During the trial, prosecutors said tax havens in Belize and Uruguay were used to conceal earnings from image rights.
But Lionel Messi said he “knew nothing” about his financial affairs.

But Man-City are really interested and lets face it,its not like he is going to turn down a few Zillion £s Retirement package.
But how many times has he been linked with a move to the Etihad, only for him to stay put. Kama ni hela Barca will still offer him better than Man citteh.
The guy has a release clause of around £200k, which of course Citteh can break easily, but that means risking a UEFA ban, coz i doubt they can do that well within the club’s expenditure budget.
