I’m not the PI (principal investigator) I can’t change the research methodology or tools. My main mandate is qualitative research but must work with a team of quantitative researchers

You know how these projects work. At the end of it you identify what you achieved and what you did not because of blah blah and request for a phase two of the project to investigate the issues that have arose. And that is how you remain employed for fifteen years. Money minting. If you ask me there is no need for such. The causes and dynamics of insecurity in the northern belt are not caused and propagated by aliens. UNDP and others have for ages been studying and doing reports on small arms and weapons in the East Africa belt from Karamoja all the way to Somalia including the southern parts of Sudan and Ethiopia. I had a good professor for Linear Algebra. Even though 20 out of 22 of us were lost in the class, he made it fun. And didn’t fail any of us. Very vibrant guy.
