True, Russians are pretty heavy drinkers. Chini ya buildings kuko na liquor store. Asubuhi 6 am watu wamesima kwa mlango wakidrown vodka before heading off to work / school. But can’t blame them. Russian winter is brutal.
Ati watu hukunywa kila mtu chupa yake ya vodka kama vile watu hukunya kila mtu beer yake. Alafu ma real heavy drinkers anachapa 6 or 7 bottles per day.
Yea it’s a big problem. But the good thing with alcoholics, it makes it very easy to make friends. A bottle of Stolichnaya does miracles.

On the job too. Break time they have to drink hapo kwa factory. They will start the assembly line at 7am. At 9 am, ni break time. First shots. Lunch time is half a glass of vodka and a nap. So their lunch is minimum one and a half hours.
Can’t really blame them. It’s the coldest country on earth. And the alcohol is ridiculously cheap.
