Three complainants seeking revocation of his clearance certificate failed to appear before the tribunal.
• Elizabeth Nzisa, Evans Kaita, and Alex Abere wanted the Committee to revoke Sakaja’s clearance to vie for the Nairobi governor seat on grounds that he lacks the requisite academic qualifications to contest for the post.
Three complaints lodged against Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja challenging the validity of his university credentials have been dismissed.
IEBC’s Dispute Resolution Committee sitting at Milimani Law Courts reached the decision after the three complainants who filed the petitions failed to appear before the panel on Wednesday.

The panel is currently hearing a petition filed by Dennis Wahome.
Wahome has raised a myriad of issues against Sakaja including that his Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Team University in Uganda was forged.
He claimed in his affidavit that the document was printed on May 29, 2022.
Wahome also said Sakaja never attended or graduated from the university on October 21, 2016, as he claimed.
On June 7, IEBC cleared Sakaja to contest for the Nairobi governor seat on the UDA ticket on the strength of the Team degree.
The Election Act makes it mandatory for governor aspirants to be holders of a degree certificate from a university recognized in Kenya.
On Wednesday, however, the Commission for University Education (CUE) revoked the recognition of the Team degree.
CUE chairperson Prof Chacha Nyaigotti Chacha said the commission had received new information concerning the authenticity of the degree.
He said the commission will have to conduct further investigations to ascertain the validity of the document.
“Consequently, in recognition of the CUE recognition procedures, we hereby revoke the recognition of your degree from the aforementioned university,” Chacha said in a letter to Sakaja on Wednesday.
Sakaja has all along maintained that his university academic credentials are credible.
He has blamed State machinery for attempting to frustrate his political career.
