Breaking news-He is back

Justice Odunga rules that the people of Ugunja constituency have a constitutional right to be represented in parliament and therefore Hon Opiyo Wandayi of Firimbi Movemnt is free to go back to parliament and carry out his duties as their MP.

Hongera.

Does the court have jurisdiction over parliamentary business?
Odunga is risking his reputation by becoming a tribal judge for Luo elites interests.

aaah this guy isnt he the one who likes standing behind raila smiling all the time

The other option is for him to step down as a Member of Parliament.
Justice Odunga is on a collision path with The Speaker of National Assembly.

Bure kabisa paliament can’t be controlled by judiciary

Paycheck?

you are free to file a petition with the Judicial Service Commission or at any court of law to challenge the ruling…thank u

Separation of powers, it was just a waste of time. In reverse how will Justice Odunga feel if parliament alters his judgement. If he ever gets to vetting again he will find a very hostile reception by the parliamentary panel.

Ulisahau kuongeza till the case is determined

ODM has a private judge the way JaKuon has a ‘family pathologist’.

What will happen if Muturi ignores the order? No one can be arrested over conducting parliamentary business. If he ignores the orders within parliament no other government arm can arrest him outside

Exactly, its waste of paper and time. A ruling that isn’t enforceable. Worst is he can appeal and its ignored again. Then he can go a step further to the supreme court and have the constitution thrown at him.

Please explain to me how a grown man/woman except for a referee which is understandable, can sit, think and actually actualize his plan to blow a whistle in an orderly environment

isn’t justice odunga the same fucker that ruled that the protests were legal even when people were causing chaos all over kisumu and Nairobi???

Yep, that’s him.

That guy is definitely a CORD puppet. Hakuna siku he has ever given a ruling against CORD, even when it was a sensitive national issue.

Good to know i’m not the only one who has noticed that.

Separation of power in the three arms of government. Checks and balances.

i think you guys are missing the point. on the issues,

  1. yes, the people of ugunja (or wherever-spelling) have a right to be represented.
  2. the protests, for as long as it is allowed in the katiba, no one can stop them only in cases of national security.
  3. i hear no one calling mumbi ngugi a tribal judge when she judges in favour of the people (she always does and i like her for that)
  4. unfortunately (maybe) the people of ugunja (spelling) have chosen that buffoon. but he is their buffon. and he must represent them.
  5. as to whether the speaker allows him to return, that is another ball game altogether.
  6. luoamerican is an idiot!

Before castigating Ojwang’, ask yourselves; does he make judgements based on the law? If yes, you are the tribalists. If no, then he is. So far, he is working with what the constitution provides.

It is clear where the problem is…
